Hello everyone,

We have some great news for everyone. We had the swallow study and it went much better than we thought. He was not aspirating (getting food in lungs) And was able to take in small spoonfulls of food (previously was just doing tastes) I guess he likes the flavor of barium.

Fridays appointment with the ENT went really well too. We are going to be getting the trach out in a month. The ENT doctor put in a smaller trach which allows him to talk now. Saturday Nick was really jabbering and managed to say Daddy and Mamma in his first full day of being able to talk. Unfortunately, he had not done this again.

We have a lot of doctor visits coming up in order to get the trach out. Please be in prayer that all of these appointments will go well.
