Nicholas had a great end of the week. We can't wait to weight him tomorrow night to see if he has gotten bigger!

Recall that he had a bit of an infection at the first of last week. He had a rough Monday and Tuesday, but he brightened up towards Tuesday afternoon and improved each day.

Nicholas had an appointment with his PT on Thursday. She is so proud of his improvement since her last visit two weeks ago. Nicholas has gained more rotation in his right arm (the one that was broken), and he is really taking off in his legs. We are working on conditioning him with certain phrases and words to begin certain exercises. For instance, we raise ours hands and say "ok, Nicholas, let's get up and play...do you want to play?" Then, we pick him up for playtime in our laps, etc. We are also working on "Nicholas kick for us!", and of course, Nicholas begins his little kicking action. We are also working on kicking toys and turning them off and on.

His swallow test is scheduled for Nov. 5 at Children's. This test will show his swallow pattern and decide whether or not his esophagus is open enough to start oral feedings. His SP is working on sucking, chewing, and facial muscle exercises. We try to reinforce her work each day.

We are really excited about Nicholas's progress. He has come so far in the two months that we have been home.

Praise to God! Nicholas has not been in the hospital in 4 weeks. Please offer praises and prayers of thanksgiving to the Lord because he has done GREAT things in Nick's life.

Much love,
Alex, Terah, and Nicholas
